Musings 1 Timothy 3:13-15
13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.14 These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
Paul had ministries in mind when he penned this.
Concerning ministers, in verse 6, he had already told Timothy ..... not a novice, lest being lifted up in pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil....
These are the words of the Lord Jesus through Paul. They are commands to be obeyed.
Some are so "wise" today that they ignore the local church. Of them it can be cheekily said ..how art thou fallen o anointed (should we call them cherub?) ....
Local Churches need to be set up to train, equip and release ministers once again. This "wisdom" that causes folks to act independent of the local church today subjects all parties to needless hurt. It is not Pauline.
..... not a novice .....
Who monitors who is a novice or not?
Do people care about such today?
Paul already gave Timothy the answer. The local church was to see to it that the message was committed to FAITHFUL men. These are disciples. They are taught in the local church so that they know the way and protocols for representing and communicating doctrine.
Paul wasn't referring to bible schools. He has the local church in mind.
Do you know even Timothy was WELL REPORTED by others to Paul before Paul took him into his ministerial company? (See Acts 16:2-3)

When Paul said, "that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God," he was telling Timothy how to behave!
Paul wants us to especially know how teachers and ministers ought to "behave" in the house of God.
For avoidance of doubt, he had just stated the "behaviour" in those characteristics that we know as the qualifications of the bishops and deacons.
The point is that the teaching functions in the body were administered by the local church. This is the order all through Acts and the Epistles.
Those who were of repute and who were voices for good in the days of Peter and Paul did not appear "mysteriously" from nowhere. If you were not released from Jerusalem or Antioch you were not serious enough for the task at hand (Prophets Judas & Silas show the Jerusalem-Antioch links cf Acts 11:27).

Those ministers that you couldn't trace to Antioch or Jerusalem were often depicted as tossed to and fro ... men who needed their mouths shut!

The local church has to ponder on how to apply the scriptures that copiously teach ministerial protocol and the order to be followed for the recognition and release of teaching ministries.
Should these protocols be set aside because we happen to live in the Facebook, Twitter, Social age?

How should they be upheld and applied?
When doctrinal issues arise, do the bloggers and twitterati go to Mark Zuckerberg for clarification?
I am not merely musing about the pros and cons of mediums of expression. Some of us have been thinking and talking about this for almost 6 years. Fundamentals are being eroded.
Who administers 1 Tim 3:6 on Facebook?
Prior to the Facebook age, ministers in the church were recognised and separated unto their function by recognised ministries within the framework of the local church
Much that is beautiful is happening through Facebook. However, the current implementation of Facebook ministries makes it impossible to implement anything Paul told Timothy.
There is a revival of good thinking
